Events in Stuttgart

There is quite a number of various festivals and other events, so it’s up to you to choose. The Christmas Market of Stuttgart (Weihnachtsmarkt) is the largest and one of the oldest and most beautiful in Europe. It had more than 3.6 million visitors in 2006. The Stuttgart Spring Festival (Stuttgarter Frühlingsfest) is a fun fair between the middle of April and the beginning of May. The Stuttgart Summer Festival (Sommerfest) is held in early August. Weindorf (Winevillage) lasts 10 days in early September. The Cannstatter Folk Festival is held in the Cannstatter Wasen (Cannstatt Meadows) in early September. The annual Stuttgart Beer Festival is second in size only to the world-famous Oktoberfest in Munich. Stuttgart is also famous for its film festivals.
